Alice Eastaugh – Facilitator

Alice joined us in 2021, working in with the Monday tribe.

‘In my recent working life, I was a classroom language teacher, also specialising in specific learning difficulties. I am also passionate about bodywork, with half a lifetime of experience in a variety of massage, I’m a mother of 3, grandmother of 5, and much more besides! But I feel I have now ‘advanced’ to becoming a Forest School assistant. I no longer teach in classrooms, but help to enable the joy and magic of nature to reach the eyes, ears, and feelings of all of us as children, whether little or grown up. I think its through connection with nature, and each other in natural settings, that we will discover how to really care for our planet and each other, and to re-prioritise fun, and the simple pleasures of life in the outdoors: the dance of light and shade coming through the trees, the birdsong, animal tracks in the mud or snow, the crackle of the fire in the centre of the circle, or the smell of baking apples.  I am currently in the middle of my Level 3 training with Forest School, and hope to be involved with lots more in the autumn!
