September 2021 to March 2022 (Samhain to Equinox)
After the success of our first Intergenerational project in the woods, we are ready to welcome Elders back again!
Thank you Community Fund for giving us this opportunity. And we’re working with The Pear Tree Fund and Halesworth Volunteer Centre.
Our community of Elders are warmly welcomed to Kaliwoods to join us for weaving, sharing stories, creating and making with the elements of fire, water, earth and wind. We will create a natural tapestry in the woods physically and metaphorically, through the sharing of our stories, moving through Tai Chi and celebrating life together. Starting with Samhain, the festival of harvest marking the beginning of the darker half of the year, recalling our ancestors. Ending with Spring Equinox when we begin to turn to the light. We will meet from 2pm to 4pm each Thursday. Join us for a seasonal soup lunch at 1pm, or come to our circle around the fire at 2pm.
Thursday 30 September – Thursday 16th December
Thursday 6th January – Thursday 7th March
We will integrate with the Kinda Forest School tribe – sometimes they will visit us and sometime we will visit them.
The project is led by Shona Sundhari with facilitators Kally Davidson and Rachel Kellett. Together we have a wealth of experience, weaving, story telling, magic making, and others will be joining us.
The natural power of woodland to heal and nourish is well known, and Kaliwoods offers us a safe and comfortable space to explore and share. We are fully risk assessed with tippy taps and safe paths and two unique compost toilets. We recommend dressing in layers to adapt to this changeable climate.

We look forward to seeing you in the woods,
