Elders Well-being in the woods 2022 (Sept to Dec)

Spoon making with Jason Parr

September to December 2022

Thanks to Connected Communities – we have funding for this term

It began all about Oak, in a Mast Year, with acorns carpeting the ground, we collected them, and found how how to plant them Jay Beak depth. We saw the top of an oak tree when one was felled, all the moss and lichen that exists on the branches.

We made Oak Gall Ink, and Spurtles and with the wheel working began throwing pots. Nearing Winter Solstice and Christmas we collectd Haws and made hedgerow Vodka.

As the winter drew in, we kept warm with movement.

We embraced days of festivals such as Equinox, Solstice, National Poetry day.

We welcomed Jo Bidmead to the team and sang along with along with Kally, Rachel, Nikki and Lesley and a rich assortment of artists, musicians, and tree people.

Address : Kaliwood, Beccles Road, Holton, IP19 8NQ. If you need transport to get to us, let us know we may be able to hep.
