Kinda-Alternative

Kinda-Alternative-Provision is for those who struggle within mainstream education
or who have been excluded from mainstream school.

From specialised one-to-one support to small group work, these sessions are crafted for the young persons needs. Kinda Forest School gently supports children and young people to create, in their own time, strong, fair and equal communities by bringing kindness, cooperation and democracy central to the sessions. We work with and within nature, embedding a long term plan for a productive sustainable woodland.  We use tools and space in nature to connect to and express the persons natural abilities and find a sense of belonging. We facilitate the development of social, emotional and physical skills.

This will include the ‘traditional’ forest school child-led activities – typically building, whittling, crafting, story-telling, singing, climbing and cooking on the fire.
In all these activities we will nurturing confidence and emotional resilience.

This will be facilitated by forest school leaders with many years experience working with children and young people who communicate with challenging behavior.
