I began working with Children and Young People within disadvantaged communities in London, teaching them photographic skills in youth clubs. I trained as a Mental Health Nurse 12 years ago and have since been striving to see a change in the way, we, as a society view and understand the difficulties that children and young people may face within various phases of growth and development. I have had the privilege of working with children and young people across all ages and in environments which are sometimes last options for families, as well as within their own communities and education settings via PRU’s (Pupil Referral Units).

So….what brings me into the wonders of Kali Woods – a true desire to be part of the learning and healing that can come about through spending time connected with the natural world. I truly believe that we can make outdoor education a means to overcoming barriers that people face, both within our younger and elder tribes.
