November – planting acorns

We soaked the acorns in water for a week, and when sprouting we planted them in trays, jay beak depth.

It was Serena who taught us jay beak depth. Amazing the knowledge spread among elders and children.

From Samhain, different Kinda tribes began planting. At Samhain we planted for our ancestors and loved ones who had died. Wood Sisters planted. Community Forest School planted. Facilitators planted. Elders planted. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday tribes planted.

The very useful deep trays were provided by Suffolk Tree Warden group (David Appleton)
