Week 27/ Reflections, Charads, plans

September 2021 to April 2022 (Elders Weaving in the Woods – Samhain to Equinox)

We gathered. Aware that we were ending this time, to begin another time. The wood was bursting green, the oaks out, the ash to come.

In our circle came ideas for our last day, collecting a leaf. A. bought back the Pearly coat, bedecked with buttons!

The Puppet theatre was up and BIRD arrived. And a bird was repaired.

Chi Gong under the dappled light of the the hornbeam.

Puppets (on two tables) including a medusa and a Kally (in purple Loons).

Last update of the Journal, by the journal girls.

A last minute maintenance of the bender, V adding leather to pointy bits to protect our eyes. A few final rods woven through, the area cleared and swept.

The last chance of weaving today! Kally bought the final weave to the closing circle, and Pippa did the honours of cutting it off the loom. It was long!

This is what we’d bring to our circle on our last day of term, if magic were allowed.
A Sadhu from the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi
A magic Donkey to hug
Not my past
My mother she’d love it
My Aunt
Merlin, his Magic, fun and silliness
Jimmy Greeves
A baby fawn
Door into Narnia
A Mesolithic scraping tool
My new Ukulele to add music and other things
An otter and to go swimming in the pond
Bring myself and a guardian angel
I’d be happy to find out if they come
The cherry tree I used to climb
A wardrobe for everyone so you could go through to be in Kaliwood
A pot of stardust to sprinkle over everyone
A rainbow
A sunshine day like today
