Elders Week 5 – Bubblewrap and challenges

Lysandra’s tribe along with Jack and Het, joined the Elders for this weeks venture in the woods. Dean and Karen came along – they cannot keep away and we are glad for them.

In fact Dean opened our circle with his Bubble Wrap, awakening our love of words. Its a book, as well as a poem over flowing with words. We added ours to the pot:

Hoybobs, lucid (or was it polucid?), concubine, floccinaucinihilipilification goosebumps, pumpernickel, pandiculate, lollypop, tomato, cow, buffle, drawing, moist, bumble bee, clap trap, antidisestablishmentarianism, five, timbuktoo.

floccinaucinihilipilification/ˌflɒksɪˌnɔːsɪˌnɪhɪlɪˌpɪlɪfɪˈkeɪʃ(ə)n/nounrarenoun: floccinaucinihilipilification

  1. the action or habit of estimating something as worthless.

Tai Chi with N

Heaven and earth, the bow, the meridians: arms work heart and lungs, bending the body works the kidney.

The challenge

We were set 4 questions to answer in teams of 4.
1. Choose photos, write and sick our last week venture in to our journal
2. Find something precious, hide it in the wood and create a map to it
3. Listen to the bird song, and imitate as best you can
4. Weave something into the weft on the loop

What glorious fun we had. We were the wheely team, with Chris, Trist, Armoral and Rachel, who hid a mallet – later found as a sound catcher while we found a poem in a wheel barrow.

Our End Words/ Postscript

Finally at the end we all put a word into the fire of how we found the day.

Moving / Rubelicious / Expanding / Joy of Greenness / Hearing the Secret / Eye Opening / Tranquility / Jackdaw / Lucky / Calming / Smoke / Charming / Expealidicious / Right lovely / Relaxing / Gratitude/

Some took away bird feeders, squirrel or starling proof. We all took away the greeness of the wood.
